The origin of relaxation, decoherence, transport, and stochastic processes in quantum systems in contact with external reservoirs is addressed along with the development of semiclassical methods for the quantization of classically chaotic systems and the statistics of energy levels. Furthermore, quantum transport properties are studied such as the transverse conductivity in ultra-cold fermionic gases and topological phases of quantum matter.
