Development of scientific tools as guidance for management of coastal eutrophication: coupling between a river system model of nutrients transfer to the sea in response to changing natural conditions and human activities (SENEQUE/RIVERSTRAHLER model applied to the river system) and a marine ecosystem model (MIRO model)
Study and modelling of the structure and functioning of the coastal ecosystem, under influence of anthropogenic activities throughout riverine nutrient discharge. Establishment of quantitative ecological criteria for the assesment of eutrophication problems areas.
