MEANSIB - Measuring Invisibility Brussel
The objective of the MEANSIB research project is to draw up and analyze the socio-spatial trajectories that lead to administrative invisibilisation through the disappearance of registers. This phenomenon is both a cause and an important indicator of social exclusion. This research aims both, in a quatitative part, to update the socio-economic profiles of people excluded from the registers on the basis of an analysis of data from the National Register and to identify neighborhoods that are more "favorable" to disappearance in the territory of the Brussels-Capital Region and, in a qualitative part, to understand the trajectories leading to the disappearance by interviewing both individuals corresponding to the typical profiles and the social workers brought to work with them (CPAS in particular). Key-words: disappearance-reappearance, socio-spatial trajectory, access to fundamental rights, location of equipment and services, heat zones.
