Descriptive and explanatory models of career development and counseling career practice analysis.Research targets includes modeling variables explaining how originally indefinite individuals come to develop vocational interest and school, occupational, and life projects, to operate choices connected to their active life, and to control their implementation. The motivational and volitional processes required to address changing conditions of Western contemporary societies are particularly investigated both at the levels of the descriptive and explanatory models and career counseling practices to clarify the way individuals mobilize their self-regulatory resources to deal with mastering vocational development tasks, coping with occupational transitions, and adjusting to work traumas and contingencies that mark life construction.
