The goal of this descriptive, longitudinal and multicentric study is to assess the prevalence of functional autonomy loss, its predictors and its correlates, among 65 years old or more cancer inpatients who live a long stay hospitalization. The other objective of this research is to assess the psychological impact of an eventual patient's functional autonomy loss on the primary caregiver. This study also describes the communication of the patient and his/her primary caregiver about an eventual functional autonomy loss consecutive to his/her long stay hospitalization.
